About us
Good Native Plants is a registered Canadian non-profit, 100% owned and operated by a small group of Mi'kmaq women. Working dually out of Montreal, QC and Balmoral, NB, we currently specialize in Eastern-Canadian native wildflowers, with plans to eventually offer the seeds of shrubs, trees, and more grasses.
About our founding and founder:
During an eventful online wildlife conservation class not halfway through her Environmental studies at McGill university, Nadia Bogs noticed a gap between people who know the power of native plants, and those with the power to plant somewhere. She incubated the idea of a non-profit that bridges that gap in Go LEAD, a student club-like program that guided her through rounds of research and a business plan designed around the question: what if it were easier to plant native? After graduating, Bogs chose to dedicate herself full-time to Good Native Plants.
